Meals and Nutritions
The Toy Box provides children with a nutritious lunch as well as two nutritious snacks that adhere to the Canada Food Guide.
THE TOY BOX EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CENTRE IS AN ALLERGEN ENVIRONMENT!
The Toy Box is a NUT FREE environment, all products are banned from the centre.
The Toy Box will adapt and be free of allergens based on the needs of the children. For example, if a child(ren) are allergic to latex, scents etc. the centre will eliminate them from the environment. Information will be posted for parents to see upon entering the childcare centre, along with information on the door leading into the classroom.
If a child is allergic to specific foods, etc. the childcare centre will make any and all necessary changes to menu items, and the environment.
NOTE: The morning snack is not a substitute for breakfast.
- A menu is posted on the bulletin board. It is rotated on a 5-week basis.
- A summer and winter menu is offered.
- Children are encouraged to try all foods. Please do not bring individual snacks from home.
- Please inform the staff of any food allergies your child may have.
- Infant parents are asked to supply formula and pabulum.
